KIMBERLY KANE + ART DECADES MAGAZINE

I was going through my archives and came across this issue of Art Decades magazine that I shot the cover and feature layout for back in 2017.

This shoot is one of my favorites because of its not so subtle Twin Peaks vibe. The rural pacific northwest is inspiring, and the pile of fresh-cut logs in my sister's back yard was an irresistible backdrop.

When I pitched this idea to Art Decades magazine, they said they wanted it to be a cover feature with a 17 pages layout! Then it was game on to bring in the best team to make my vision over the top.

I enlisted Lily Labeau, a PNW native to be my muse, and I brought on Drew, creator of EroticNerdFilms to help achieve the desired lighting effects and photo retouching, so everything looked flawless.

I couldn't be happier with the final product. Lily Labeau gets it; she's a very intuitive model, she effortlessly became the Laura Palmer/Log Lady mash-up of my Lynchian dreams.

I believe Art Decades magazine is no longer in print, sad to say. You can still find some issues of the magazine on Amazon via the publisher Jeremy R Richey, who is a lovely person, and a true patron of the underground arts.
